Wake County permits, pulled 6 hours ago · websites in 30 metros
Your territory, written down every Monday.
I pull three public permit feeds and load several hundred local business websites the way a phone does, then sort what comes back by what you sell. You get a Monday file: who just got a permit to open, who is building out, and whose storefront is broken. Names, addresses, and the phone on record.
Permits are Wake County, NC only. There is no autodialer, no texting, and nothing is sent as you. What isn't built yet.

What you sell decides the order
Pick your line. Watch the rows move.
Same public record, different first call. An insurance producer needs the soonest open date; an equipment dealer needs the permit that was filed months before anyone opens. The table below is this week's real rows.

Nothing this week for that line. The file still goes out; some weeks are thin.
The storefront engine
Every dot is a local business on the list. The bright ones are the ones I have loaded.
most of the 3,552 businesses in the scan list have coordinates on record; each one is a dot, across 30 metros. Dot positions are scattered on purpose — the map shows which cities I have scanned, not which building. A dot brightens when a scan lands and a finding survives the second load. Last scan: 6 days ago. If nothing is moving, nothing was scanned since.
Each number is a count of rows in the database at the moment this page was built. They only go up when a real scan or pull lands.
How a row gets in
One real finding, as it sits in the file.
“Your homepage is wider than a phone screen, so it slides sideways when somebody scrolls. Part of your page sits off the edge where nobody sees it.”Law office, Cary. Business name, page and phone are in the file, not on this page.
I load the page the way a phone does, then load it again from a different machine before it goes in a file. If the two loads do not agree, it does not ship. The same rule applies to the permits: a corporate re-permit that looks like an opening gets labeled, not sold as new.
What I left out, and why
4 rows looked like new openings this week and weren't.
A raw permit feed would sell you these as openings. They ship in the file, labeled, in their own section, and they stay out of the count above.
| Business | City | Why it is not an opening |
|---|---|---|
| Red Robin #573re-permit | Wake Forest | 2 Red Robin permits dated the same day: corporate paperwork, not 2 openings. |
| Red Robin #688re-permit | Garner | 2 Red Robin permits dated the same day: corporate paperwork, not 2 openings. |
| Red Robin Gourment Burgers and Brewsre-permit | Apex | This business already held a permit at this address; a new permit here is usually a new owner or a renewal, not an opening. |

Pricing
Two files. No contract.
Both are the Wake County restaurant engine. The storefront engine is not on the price list yet; the FAQ says how to get it by hand.
Triangle Weekly
Every Monday before 7 a.m. ET.
- Every food-service permit in Wake County dated in the last two weeks or scheduled ahead
- Address and the phone on the county record
- Chains flagged, trucks and stands segmented, re-permits labeled
- CSV attached, same rows in the email body
Checkout is branded Colder, the restaurant engine.
Triangle Pro
Weekly, plus an email the morning a record appears.
- Everything in Weekly
- An email the morning a new permit posts, not just Monday. For the buyers whose window is the open date, this is the product.
- Commercial build-out permits from Wake County and the City of Raleigh, with permit detail and the contractor's name and phone. Some weeks this is two rows; 5 named this week.
- Unnamed permits by address, for the people who work contractors
Checkout is branded Colder, the restaurant engine.
Colder is the business that bills you; Territory Book is the name it is moving to, and the receipt says Colder until that is finished. Cancel by replying to any file. If the first paid file is not worth it, say so within seven days and I refund that month. Terms and data use.
Free sample
Read this week's openings before you decide.
The same rows as the board above, with the phones unmasked, as a CSV in your inbox a minute from now. One per address a month. A person reads every reply.
What isn't built yet
The workspace.
Most people want this file inside a call list: statuses, callbacks, notes, a script, and a coach you can ask a question mid-call. I run one of those for my own reps. It is not a product yet. It is one shared table with my own prospects in it, and the coach only knows how to sell my services. Making it yours is a week of plumbing, not a setting. Until then the file is a CSV and lands in whatever you already use.
When it exists it will do: load your Monday file as a call list, rank it by what you sell, keep statuses and callbacks, draft the email for a row, and answer a question about a row while you are on the phone. It will not autodial, send texts, or send email as you. If it ever does the last one, it will be from your own domain with your own consent trail, or not at all.
If you want it sooner, email hello@territorybook.com. I build whatever the most people ask for first.
How it runs
Three pulls a day. One file a week.
Wake County food-service permits, Wake County building permits, City of Raleigh building permits. Failures are alerted, not swallowed as empty.
Schools and hospital kitchens dropped by facility type. Corporate re-permits detected. Trucks, carts and stands segmented. Named build-outs separated from unnamed ones.
CSV attached, rows in the body, a link on every row to the record it came from. If a send fails, it retries the same morning and I get an email.
Questions
Questions.
What exactly is in the Monday file?
Every food-service establishment Wake County permitted in the last two weeks or scheduled ahead, with the address and the phone the business gave the county, plus which ones are new since last Monday. Chains are flagged. Trucks, carts and stands are their own segment. Re-permits of an existing place are labeled and kept out of the count. The Pro file adds the commercial build-out permits from Wake County and the City of Raleigh whose proposed use is a restaurant, bar or cafe, with the permit detail and the contractor's name and phone off the permit.
Why is it called Colder on the receipt?
Colder is the business that bills you today: the restaurant engine launched first under that name, and the Stripe checkout, the Monday email and the terms still carry it. Territory Book is the name I am moving it all to. Same file, same price, same me.
Can't I pull this from the county myself?
Yes, and every row links to the dataset it came from. What you would be doing every morning is querying three endpoints with different schemas, dropping the school cafeterias and hospital kitchens, pulling business names out of permit descriptions, spotting the corporate re-permits that look like openings, and noticing which rows are new since yesterday. I do that before 7 a.m. and mail you the result.
What is the storefront engine and can I buy it?
It loads a local business's homepage the way a phone does, then loads it again from a second machine, and records only the defects both loads agree on: a phone number that does not dial when tapped, a page that scrolls sideways, no preview when the link is shared, a copyright year from years ago. 152 findings have passed that check so far, across 30 metros. It is not on the price list yet. If you sell website work and want a hand-delivered file for your metro, email me and I will work it out by hand while it is small.
Is it legal to call these businesses?
The phone numbers are the ones on the public permit or the business's own website. Some, food trucks especially, are mobile numbers, and wireless numbers carry more restrictions under the TCPA than landlines. The do-not-call rules apply to whoever places the call. Rows likely to be mobile are flagged. I do not sell consumer data and I include only what the public record or the business's own site contains.
Do you cover other counties?
Wake County only for permits, today. I tested Durham and Mecklenburg in September 2026 and could not get a feed I trusted enough to charge for. The storefront scans cover 30 metros because that engine reads websites, not county systems.
Do you sell my metro to my competitor?
For the permit files, yes: the public record is the same for everyone, and the price reflects that. Two POS reps in Wake County can both subscribe, the same way both can read the county website. For the storefront engine, which is hand-delivered while it is small, I will not sell the same metro and the same trade to more than one shop at a time; that is written into the arrangement before any money moves.
How do I cancel?
Reply to any file, or email hello@territorybook.com, and billing stops the same business day. No contract, no minimum. If the first paid file is not worth it, say so within seven days and I refund that month.
Who is behind this?
Me, Jeremiah, in Raleigh. I built these engines to feed my own prospecting and started selling the output. Email hello@territorybook.com or call (919) 675-1233 and you get me.
